Students make electric vehicle

Danielle Crossley (seated), DJ Melancon and Mahlon Butler model the electric vehicle they created in Vidor ISD ACE. This was a combined project in which Mr. Howard Bailey’s Environmental Science students were required to research and implement the possibility of converting a gas powered vehicle to an electric powered vehicle. The research was to be presented to the group. However the students took it a step further and built the actual vehicle (with help from the Vidor High School welding department) during ACE afterschool class.
