Rhonda Lee Jones, 61, of Vidor, died Wednesday, February 10th, 2021 at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas. She was a longtime resident of Vidor and was a homemaker. She loved gardening, her cats, cooking, and spending time with her family. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy. Cremation arrangements are entrusted with Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor with a memorial service Saturday, February 20, 2021 at 10:00 am at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. She is survived by her Husband of 31 years Michael Jones of Vidor, TX, daughters Kristin Jones of Vidor, TX and Erica Austin of Winnie, TX, sons Jeff McReynolds of Vidor, TX, Collis McReynolds of Sulphur, LA, and Jay McReynolds of Vidor, TX, sisters Karen Berg of Vidor, TX and Robin Hale of Beaumont, TX, and 4 grandchildren.

Luthine Jasper

Luthine Jasper, 92, of Vidor, died February 13th, 2021 at her home. She was longtime resident of Vidor and member of Victory Bible Baptist Church in Vidor. She worked as a doll maker and it was her passion. She also loved making ceramics, crocheting, sewing, spending time with her family, and her dogs. Luthine will have a visitation at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor Friday, February 19, 2021 from 1:00 to 1:40 PM with a graveside service following at 2:00 PM at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. She is survived by her daughter Joyce McDaniel of Vidor, TX, son Larry Jasper of Vidor, TX, brothers Thomas Peevey of Vidor, TX, Ikey Peevey of Vidor, TX, sister Ellen Clay of Youngsville, LA, 10 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

Charlie “CA” Arnold Burnaman Jr

Charlie A. Burnaman, 87 of Vidor died Friday, February 19th, 2021 at Lucas House in Beaumont. He was a native and longtime resident of Port Arthur, before moving to Vidor 10 years ago. Charlie was a member of First Baptist of Vidor and was a electrical supervisor at Gulf Chevron for 34 years in Port Arthur. He loved working with Wish his hands and mainly liked carpentry and gardening. Visitation will begin at 9:30 am and the funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor with a private graveside to follow. Charlie is survived by his wife of 67 years Joycie Burnaman of Vidor, TX, children Phil Burnaman and his wife Stacie of Vidor, TX, Joey Burnaman and his wife Sherry of Orange, TX, Anne Lewis and her husband Clint of Beaumont, TX, Guy Burnaman and his wife Michelle of Orange, TX, 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren. Mattie “Laverne” Cooksley

Mattie “Laverne” Cooksley, 89, of Vidor died on February 10th, at Oakwood Manor Nursing Facility following a lengthy illness. A longtime resident of Vidor, she owned and operated Main Street Cleaners in Vidor for many years.

Clayton W. Fulbright

Clayton W. Fulbright, 81 of Vidor died Monday, February 15th, 2021 at his residence. A native of Batesville, AR, he was a longtime resident of Vidor. Clayton was a car dealer in the Golden Triangle for over 50 years. He enjoyed riding his Harley and shooting pool. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Services will be held at a later date. Clayton was preceded in death by his son Wayne Fulbright. He is survived by his wife of 60 years Anne Fulbright of Vidor, TX, daughters Debbie Plaia and her husband Jerry of Port Neches, TX, Celeste Walker and her husband Jason of Beaumont, TX, brother Larry W. Fulbright of North Little Rock, AR, 5 grandchildren Paige Ehrlich and her husband Chris, Joshua Lista, Lauren Goodhue and her husband John, Shelby Plaia, Jaycee Walker, and 4 great grandchildren Kayley Goodhue, Harper Corkran, Carter Ehrlich, and Olivia Ehrlich. Eddie Roye, 81 of Vidor died Sunday, February 21, 2021 at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas in Beaumont. A native of Houston, TX, he was longtime resident of Vidor. Eddie was a member and Deacon of First Baptist Church in Vidor and was a retired in 1998 as a Mechanic with Dupont in Beaumont. He enjoyed music - singing, guitar, ukulele and was a member of First Baptist Glory Band and Glory Singers. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting and woodworking. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am and funeral services will start a at 10:00 am Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Eddie is survived by his wife of 60 years Brenda Roye of Vidor, TX, sons Dwaine Roye and his wife Kasandra of Beaumont, TX, Scott Roye and his wife Beth of Spring, TX, daughter Dena McClendon and her husband Heath of Vidor, TX, brother Bobby Roye and his wife Diana of Laporte, TX, 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Selena Freeman

Selena Freeman, 83 of Vidor, was born in Beaumont, TX on February 4, 1938; She passed February 7, 2021 at 5am, in Spring, TX after a struggle with Covid Pneumonia. She adored her family and loved to spend time with them. She loved fishing, camping, cooking, dancing and gardening. She was very competitive and loved playing games with her many friends. She was never out of advice or things to say. And she was the best little back seat driver I know. She will always be placing kisses on our cheeks. Selena’s visitation will begin Thursday, February 11, 2021 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor and will have another visitation Friday, February 12, 2021 from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Her graveside will be Saturday, February 13, 2021 at 12:00 pm at Bean Cemetery in Kirbyville, TX. She is survived by her daughters, Rhonda Baker of Vidor, TX, and Brenda Taylor of Spring, TX, six grandchildren, Shelly Hamilton and Kristal Speer of Spring, TX, Delton Baker of Buna, TX, Lauren Taylor of Dallas, TX, Eden Baker of Louisiana, Robert Taylor of The Woodlands, TX, she has ten great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

Rachel A. McCabe

Rachel A. McCabe, 36 of Palestine, Texas died Tuesday, February 16th, 2021 at Palestine Regional Medical Center. Rachel was raised in Vidor and was a Vidor High School graduate, she has lived in Palestine for the past 13 years. Rachel attended Turning Point Church when ever she was here in Vidor. She enjoyed her music and having “Friends” (the tv show) marathons. She also enjoyed arts and crafts, but most of all she liked to make people happy and didn’t have a mean bone in her body. Rachel was active in a work shop called Gateway when she was home in Palestine. Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm Sunday, February 21, 2021 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, February 22, 2021 at Turning Point Church in Vidor with cremation to follow. Rachel was preceded in death by her grandparents Joe and Shelby Newton, Dudley and Betty McCabe, uncle and aunt Warren and Angela McCabe, cousin Marty McCabe. She is survived by her father Roger McCabe of Vidor, TX and mother Lisa McCabe of Palestine, TX, sister Kimberly Joslin and her husband Josh of Palestine, TX, uncles and aunts Joey and Hollie Newton of Bridge City, TX, Steven and Sheila McGuire of Bridge City, TX, Tommy and Vicki Fontenot of Mauriceville, TX, and Carol McCabe of Vidor, TX, nieces and nephews Madelyn, Camdin and Corbin Joslin, numerous cousins Brad, Cody, Aaron, Hunter, Laura and Clint.

Debbie L. Commer, 62 of Lakeview died Sunday, February 21st, 2021 at Baptists Hospitals of Southeast Texas in Beaumont, TX. A native of Orange, TX, she was a longtime resident of Orangefield, before moving to Lakeview 3 years ago. Debbie enjoyed her arts - painting, drawing, stain glass and writing. Graveside services will be held at 1:00pm Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at Glenmora Cemetery in Glenmora, LA. Debbie is survived by her sisters D'Anne Hoffpauir of Orange, TX and Daina Matak of Fannett, TX, brother Harlan Stanley Commer II of Orange, TX, numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

William Earl Roebuck, 79, of Vidor, died Monday, February 8th, 2021 in Silsbee, TX. He was a longtime resident of Vidor. He loved fishing, riding his bicycle, and eating Whataburger.
