Lady Pirate JV tops Orangefield 11-3 at home

The Vidor Lady Pirate JV softball team jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the first inning and never looked back as they defeated the Orangefield Lady Bobcats 11-3 Thursday in Vidor. Natalie Morrison got things going for Vidor with a pop fly to right field she turned into a two bagger on the throw.

Lady Pirate Track and Field setting new records in 2021

The Vidor Lady Pirate Track team has had a truly historic season and is continuing to redefine success in the track and field world. After three consecutive Meet Championships at invitational meets in March of 2021, the Lady Pirates placed second at the 22-4A District Track Meet.

Pirates can’t overcome Bobcats early lead

The Vidor Pirate varsity baseball team staged a four-run fifth inning rally, but it wasn’t quite enough to overcome Orangefield’s early lead as the Pirates were defeated 9-5 Thursday in Vidor. Vidor got on the board in the first inning when Austin Cadroy singled to centerfield.

Lady Pirates take 2nd in district, advance to Area

The Vidor Lady Pirates competed in the sidtrict track and field meet held last week at West Orange-Stark, taking second place overall with seven girls advancing in field events.

Lady Pirate track and field win three in a row

The Vidor Lady Pirate Track and Field team made it three in a row after winning Friday’s Battlin' Bear Relays Invitational with a point total of 138. This follows their win at Silsbee and Vidor in the preceding weeks. Coming in second at LCM was PNG with 136.5 points.

Lady Pirates fall to LCM 16-2

A spate of errors led to a 16-2 defeat for the Lady Pirates at LCM Friday. The Lady Pirates were frustrated at the plate, going scoreless for two innings while allowing seven Lady Bear runs at the same time.

Lady Pirate soccer advances with 4-0 bi-district win

The varsity Vidor Lady Pirate soccer team defeated the Liberty Lady Panthers 4-0 in their bi-district playoff game held Thursday at Pirate Stadium. Vidor and Liberty tested one another in the early going, with neither team able to gain an advantage.

Pirates lose lead late against LCM

The fifth inning was decisive for Vidor in their varsity baseball matchup at LCM Friday. The Pirates went into the inning behind 4-2 and after their atbat in the top of the inning, the Pirates led 7-4.
