Michael “Mike” Emile Sheppard Sr., of Bonners Ferry, Idaho, passed away on July 14th, 2024, in Vidor, Texas. Mike was a dedicated project manager for oil refineries, known for his expertise and leadership. He loved the outdoors, often fishing, hunting, gardening, and bird watching.

Yvonne Eileen Sarver, 89, of San Leon, died peacefully at her home on Sunday, July 14th, 2024.A longtime resident of Galveston County, Yvonne cherished spending time with her grandchildren, enjoying the serenity of being by the water, and indulging in true crime stories, both in books and on screen.

Timmy “Tim” Wilbert Roy, 63, of Vidor, passed away on July 14th, 2024, at Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont. Raised in Beaumont, Texas, Tim was a longtime Vidor resident and devoted member of the Source of Old Faith Church.

Jo “JoEllen” Garrett, 68, of Vidor, passed away on July 14th, 2024, at Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont. Born in Beaumont, TX, she was a longtime Vidor resident and member of First Baptist Church. JoEllen worked for Flair Realty and was a dedicated homemaker.

John Anthony Irwin, 65, passed away on July 6, 2024. Born on August 29, 1958, John served in the United States Navy from 1977 to 1981, showing dedication to his country.John enjoyed motorcycle rides through the countryside, spending time outdoors, and traveling.

Mary Helen Gill, 83, of Vidor, passed away on July 10, 2024, at Mid-Jefferson Extended Care in Beaumont, surrounded by her family. A longtime Vidor resident, Mary was a cherished member of the First Baptist Church and retired after 33 years as a bus driver with the Vidor Independent School District.

Dave Leslie Chesson, Sr., 75, passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2024, at Baptist Hospital, in Beaumont, Texas. He was born April 16, 1949, in Orange, Texas, to Gloria Mae Roberts Chesson and Clyde Mitchell Chesson.

William “Bill” Rodney Smith, Jr., 70, of Vidor, died Thursday, July 4, 2024, at his residence, surrounded by family and friends. A native of Huntsville, TX, Bill was raised in Bevil Oaks, attending Beaumont High School before becoming a proud member of the U.S. Marine Corps.
