The Vidor High School Brigadettes represented their school and city at the Houston Rockets 'Halftime Extravaganza' on Sunday, January 27th. Brigadette director is Ginger Faul.

Vidor Pirate and Lady Pirate track teams competed in the Orangefield Relays track meet Thursday and finished in 7th and 3rd place respectively. Vidor’s Raegan Stephenson, pictured here, took first place in the girls' high jump with a jump of 5’ 8”. 
Coming off an 11-0 win over Silsbee last week, the Vidor Lady Pirates will host the district leading Lady Raiders of Lumberton Tuesday night to try to avenge their only district loss. Sitting in second place behind Lumberton, the Lady Pirates could move into a tie for first with a win over the Lady Raiders. With just four games left in the season, the Lady Pirates will face LCM Friday, then Bridge City, Hardin-Jefferson and Jasper to wrap up regular season play. Photo by Randall Luker

Lady Pirates sweep Jasper in soccer

The Vi d o r Lady Pirates swept both varsity and junior varsity Jasper soccer teams in Vidor Friday. The varsity overcame a strong Jasper defense after ending regulation time tied 0-0. The Lady Pirates’ Chloe Post scored a goal at 5:43 in OT to give Vidor the win.

Annual White Bass Run is Quickly Approaching

The annual white bass run is heating up and anglers across Texas are preparing for exciting days on the water. Each spring, white bass run upstream from reservoirs into rivers and creeks to spawn, creating prime fishing opportunities for new and seasoned anglers.
