Early ending counts as loss for Lady Pirates

The Vidor Lady Pirates final regular season game at Jasper was ended early by officials after an altercation broke out on the field. Jasper scored a goal in the first half and led 1-0 when officials called the game in the second half with almost 10 minutes remaining.

Bi-District Soccer Playoffs Lady Pirates will play Hamshire Fannett at East Chambers on Friday March 24 at 5pm. Pirates will play Huffman at Beaumont Memorial Stadium on Friday March 24 at 7 p.m.

The Lady Pirates had a great showing at the Cardinal Relays on March 2, 2023. The Lady Pirates had numerous athletes place in their events, and earn points for the team. Overall the girls scored 76 points placing 3rd overall. • In the discus event, Rylee Sherman placed 3rd with a throw of 93’’5”.

Lady Pirates soccer defeat Bridge City, fall to H-J

The Vidor Lady Pirate varsity soccer team defeated Bridge City 6-0 Tuesday in Vidor with Jordyn Fowler scoring 2 goals, Kenya Correia, Zoe Hunteman, Isabelle Simmons, and Quincy LaPray each with one goal. Jaden Lee had two assists, Reagan Lapray and Isabelle Simmons each had one assist.

Lady Pirates sweep LCM soccer to clinch playoff spot

The varsity Lady Pirate Soccer team secured a spot in the state playoffs with a 4-3 win over the LCM Bears Friday night at LCM. Coach Ralph Fields noted, “that win clinched state playoffs for us for the 14th year in a row!

The Vidor boys track team place seventh out of a dozen teams competing Thursday at the Orangefield relays, placing in nine events. Bryce Dubose took first place in the high jump with a jump of 6’2”. In the long jump, L. Lugo placed second with 19’ 8”.
