Commission Approves Expansion of Digital License and Tag Options for Recreational Hunting, Fishing

AUSTIN – Texas Parks and Wildlife Department is expanding digital license and tag options to all recreational hunting, fishing and combo license and tag types.TPWD introduced digital licensing and tagging in 2022 for harvested deer, turkey and oversized red drum.

The Vidor Lady Pirates blanked the Livingston Lady Lions 7-0 in their bidistrict playoff game Thursday at Hardin-Jefferson Stadium in Kountze. The Lady Pirates took a 5-0 halftime lead over Livingston and built on that to take a 7-0 win.

Sealy falls to Lady Pirates 3-1 in Area match

The Vidor Lady Pirates defeated the Lady Tigers of Sealy 3-1 Tuesday evening at CE King’s Sheldot Stadium in Houston to advance to the Regional level of the 2025 UIL Girls Soccer Playoffs.All of the scoring occurred in the first half with Sealy’s goal coming with less than a minute before the half.

Weight Class 220Riley Marlow earned his second State Champion Title at the State Powerlifting Meet by winning the 220# division with 1940 total pounds!

The Vidor Lady Pirates will advance to the Regional Girls Soccer Playoff Round after their 3-1 win over the Sealy Tigers Tuesday night in Houston. Regional finals will pit the Lady Pirates versus the Salado Eagles Friday night in Tomball at 7 p.m.

Six Pirates signed to six different colleges to continue their athletic endeavors at the college level at Pirate Gym Thursday.Friends, family, and fellow athletes participated in the event held in the gym with refreshments served.The six athletes represented girls soccer, baseball and football.

The Vidor Lady Pirates jumped out to a 2-0 lead over Lumberton in the first inning, but by the top of the third, they trailed the visitors 9-2. Then the Lady Pirate bats woke up.Vidor went on to score 11 unanswered runs to take the win 13-9 at home.
