Pirate baseball making a run for district title

The Vidor Pirates are making a run for first place in District 19-4A after completing a two game sweep over the Lumberton Raiders last week. Tuesday at home, the Pirates defeated the Raiders 5-4 in 10 innings and in Lumberton Friday, the Pirates won 6-2.

Students who qualified for and competed in the state powerlifting meet were honored at the Vidor ISD School Board Meeting on Monday night.

Eighth Grade Lady Pirate Soccer opens with a win

Last week marked the season opener for the new girls soccer program at Vidor Junior High School as the 7th and 8th grade teams hosted the Central Middle School from Nederland at Pirate Stadium.

Lady Pirates overcome deficit to defeat Silsbee 14-4

After falling behind 3-2 to the Silsbee Lady Tigers Tuesday in Vidor, the Vidor Lady Pirates cruised to a 14-4 victory in five innings. Keira McCurley went the distance for Vidor, allowing 4 runs on 6 hits with 5 Ks and 1 walk.

Pirates, Cardinals swap home losses

Vidor defeated the Bridge City Cardinals in Bridge City 5-3 in Bridge City Tuesday and Bridge City returned the favor in a continued game Monday, defeating the Pirates 10-5.

Vidor falls 5-4 to LCM in continued game

The Vidor Lady Pirates fell 5-4 to LCM Monday in an away game continued from last week due to weather. Vidor jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning Friday and LCM had tied the game 3-3 in the bottom of the third before play was halted.
