The Vidor Lady Pirates varsity basketball team needed their season at home on Senior Night with a 52-45 loss to Bridge City. The Lady Pirates went 18-10 on the season and 5-7 in district play to finish fifth in district.

The Vidor Lady Pirate soccer team is on a roll, winning two in a row after a disappointing 2-0 loss to Lumberton last Tuesday. The Lady Pirates bounced back with a 7-1 win over LCM Friday.
Vidor Head Girls’ Soccer Coach Ralph Fields celebrated his 200th win after Friday’s 7-1 victory over LCM. Fields credited the record to the athletes that have participated in the girls soccer program over the years. “ Thanks to all of the Lady Pirates over the past 14 years that worked hard to make it happen.”

The Vidor Lady Pirates varsity basketball team hosted the Silsbee Lady Tigers Friday at Pirate Gym in a district game. The Lady Tigers defeated Vidor 77-38. Leading the Lady Pirates in scoring was Madison Powell with 12 points, and ten rebounds; Raegan Stephenson with 10 points and 3 rebounds.

After dropping Friday’s district game at Silsbee 100-54. The varsity Vidor Pirate basketball team went shot for shot with the LCM Bears Tuesday through four quarters and two overtime periods before Bryce Loftin hit a shot with one second left in double OT to beat LCM 63-62.

The Vidor boys soccer team opened district at home with a 5-0 win over Silsbee. Mario Algroa Ray lead the team in scoring with a hat trick (three goals). Rui Correia and Andre Ribeiro scored one goal each. The defensive shutout was lead by AJ Wise, Braiden Ramos, Martin Gutierrez and Jared Marlowe.

Vidor Lady Pirate soccer swept Splendora on a foggy Tuesday evening in Vidor as the junior varsity won 3-0 and varsity 9-0. Two of the three junior varsity goals came from Alyssa Higgins with assists from Claire Guidry and Kyrstin Hoffpauir.

The varsity Vidor Pirate basketball team defeated Lumberton Wednesday Jasper Friday and lost a heartbreaker to West Orange Stark last night. In the Wednesday game versus Lumberton the Pirates won 53-46 with Bryce Loftin leading the Pirates in scoring with 12 points and 6 rebounds.
