The Pirates traveled to Silsbee Friday to open the 2024 football season and after a hard fought battle, came away with a 28-14 loss.

The Vidor Junior High Volleyball teams hosted the Bridge City Cardinal Monday with the 7B team winning 2-0, the 7A team winning 2-1 (14-16,15-13, 15-8). The 8B team lost 2-1 (21-25, 25-15,11-15) and the 8A team fought hard to come away with a 2-1 victory (18-21,25-22, 15-11).

The varsity Lady Pirate Volleyball Team racked up six wins and just two losses at the Tarkington volleyball tournament held Thursday- Saturday for a tenth place finish at the 28-team tournament. Going 6-2 in their matches, the Lady Pirates won 13 of the sets versus nine losses.
