The varsity Vidor Pirates defeated the Bridge City Cardinals Friday in BC 7-2.
The Pirates came ready to play, with up a 4-run first inning. Lead off batter for Vidor was Westin Baker gained first base with a walk. That was followed followed by a BC error that allowed Austin Cadroy to reach first and Baker to reach second base. Daigan Venable was hit by a pitch, loading the bases.
