Freshman Lady Pirate Madison Perkins shoots a layup versus the Orangefield Lady Bobcats Tuesday.
It was a rough week for the Lady Pirate basketball team last week as they began the second half of the season facing district leaders Orangefield and Silsbee. Hosting Orangefield Tuesday, varsity lost to Orangefield 53 – 21. Top scorers for Vdor were Sofia Rodriguez with 5 points and Madison Powell with 5 points. With the loss, varsity’s record is 10 - 15, 0 - 7 in district.
