Roy Douglas Turner Sr., 68, of Orange, Texas, passed away at his home on Tuesday, September 17th, 2024. A native of Exeter, New Hampshire, Roy spent the last decade in Orange, but his heart always held a special place for Brownsville, Texas, where he resided for many years. He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, June Turner of Orange, TX; his sons, Roy Turner Jr. of Utah, and Richard Turner of San Antonio, TX; his daughter, Brenda Almengor of Fort Lauderdale, FL; his bonus sons, Colby Buford of Evadale, TX, Garrett Buford of Orange, TX, and Dylan Carmane of Vidor, TX; and his sister, Linda Symzack of Gloucester, Massachusetts. Roy’s mentor and dear friend, Jerry Davenport, was a guiding force in his life, offering wisdom and support through the years. Roy was blessed with 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
