Rose Laverne Baxter, 78, of Vidor, Texas, passed away on November 10, 2020, in Beaumont, Texas.

Born in Beaumont, Texas, on September 23, 1942, she was the daughter of Riley Leroy Nash and Laverna (Eves) Nash. Rose was a sweet, spunky, and funny woman who had a heart of gold. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She met her beloved husband, Thomas, at the age of 15. Together they spent their lives by each other’s side, raising a family and creating many dear memories. Rose was known for her caring spirit and she loved to feed everyone as often as she could. She always found joy in the little things in life, and especially loved listening to Elvis, eating Reese’s peanut butter cups, and spending time at the lake. Rose will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Riley and Laverna Nash; her loving husband of 60 years, Thomas Alvin Baxter; and her brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her sons, Paul Baxter, Daniel Baxter, and Mark Baxter; as well as her eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Cremation is under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange, Texas.
