Robert Clifton Payne, 80, passed away peacefully at his home in Vidor, Texas, on Saturday, April 12, 2025. A longtime resident of Vidor, Robert was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church and a respected general contractor who took pride in a job well done. Robert had a deep love for the outdoors and a spirit of adventure. He spent many seasons hunting deer and elk, often sharing those moments with friends and family. More than anything, Robert cherished time with his family. He was a devoted husband, proud father, loving grandfather, and great-grandfather whose legacy of hard work and dedication will carry on through the generations. He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Ginny Payne of Vidor, TX; his son Jason Payne of Vidor, TX; brother Gary Payne of Orange, TX; sisters Latrelle Foreman of Bleakwood, TX, and Ellen Whitley of Lumberton, TX; grandson Ryan Payne of Mauriceville, TX; and great-granddaughter Emersyn Payne of Texas.
