Robert “Bob” Jones, 79, of Baytown died August 4 in Baytown, Born May 4, 1945 in Mobile Alabama, He served his country in the US Army, his community as a police officer and gave of himself to mentor at risk youth, distribute toys to underprivileged children during Christmas and promoted the outdoors as an alternative to juvenile delinquency.
He was pre-deceased by his loving wife Janet Hansen Jones and survived by his three sons and their wives Robert and Diane, Kevin and Misty, and Ryan and Chrissy Jones. Five grandchildren Johnathan, Stephanie, Logan, Jareth, and Cody. His two sisters, Rena Faye, her husband Zee, Deborah and her husband Tony.
Graveside funeral services will be held August 25, 2024 at 2 p.m. at the Jones Family Cemetery in Vidor
