Rachel A. McCabe, 36 of Palestine, Texas died Tuesday, February 16th, 2021 at Palestine Regional Medical Center. Rachel was raised in Vidor and was a Vidor High School graduate, she has lived in Palestine for the past 13 years. Rachel attended Turning Point Church when ever she was here in Vidor. She enjoyed her music and having “Friends” (the tv show) marathons. She also enjoyed arts and crafts, but most of all she liked to make people happy and didn’t have a mean bone in her body. Rachel was active in a work shop called Gateway when she was home in Palestine. Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm Sunday, February 21, 2021 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, February 22, 2021 at Turning Point Church in Vidor with cremation to follow. Rachel was preceded in death by her grandparents Joe and Shelby Newton, Dudley and Betty McCabe, uncle and aunt Warren and Angela McCabe, cousin Marty McCabe. She is survived by her father Roger McCabe of Vidor, TX and mother Lisa McCabe of Palestine, TX, sister Kimberly Joslin and her husband Josh of Palestine, TX, uncles and aunts Joey and Hollie Newton of Bridge City, TX, Steven and Sheila McGuire of Bridge City, TX, Tommy and Vicki Fontenot of Mauriceville, TX, and Carol McCabe of Vidor, TX, nieces and nephews Madelyn, Camdin and Corbin Joslin, numerous cousins Brad, Cody, Aaron, Hunter, Laura and Clint.
