“Mary “Joyce” Guidry, age 92, of Vidor, Texas, passed away peacefully at her residence on Wednesday, January 1, 2025. A native of Rayne, Louisiana, Joyce was a devoted homemaker and a longtime resident of Vidor. She was a cherished member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and will be remembered for her unwavering love and dedication to her family. Joyce’s passions included cooking and nurturing those around her. Whether preparing a warm meal or offering a comforting presence, she found joy in taking care of everyone she loved. Above all, she treasured spending time with her family, creating a legacy of love that will endure through generations. She is survived by her children, Dee Guidry of Vidor, TX, and Beckie Sosa of Gilchrist, TX; her sister, Jeanette Alleman of Scott, LA; her brother, Austin Cormier of Rayne, LA; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and numerous great-great-grandchildren and great-great-great-grandchildren.
