Mary Helen Egan Vickers

Mary Helen Egan Vickers was born in Denton TX on September 11, 1936, to Joe Egan and Lola Mae Rankin Egan, making Mary Helen a descendant of Revolutionary war hero and early Texas settler, Lt. Robert Ranking. In 1965 Mary and Davis moved the family back to TX settling in Vidor where they remained active members of the community and Pine Forest Baptist church. Mary Helen was an avid supporter of Education, serving as a teacher and HS councilor until her retirement. After retirement Mary and Davis continued as Sunday School teachers for many years. Mary Helen is survived by her children Valerie Jordan spouse Joseph Jordan and son, James Don Vickers spouse Sandra Vickers. She had six Grand Children and eight Great grandchildren.
