Legatha Ann (Bellard) Angele, 86, a longtime resident of Vidor, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, March 5, 2025. As a native Vidorian, Legatha spent many years as a part of the local community. She was a fixture in the banking community for 37 years and was active in the Vidor Chamber of Commerce. She was instrumental in ensuring the Go-Texan Vidor Bar-B-Que festival ran smoothly throughout her tenure. During her free time, Legatha loved being outdoors, hunting, fishing, and camping with her family and friends. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren at every opportunity. Legatha is survived by her children: Gunter Meyer Jr., Karen Stricklan, Harvey Lynn Meyer, and Leo Angele II; her 6 cherished grandchildren; her 3 precious great-grandchildren; and her brother L.D. Bellard and life partner Doris.
