Katherine Ann Oakes, 79, of Vidor, died Thursday, January 12th, 2023 at Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont. She was a longtime resident of Vidor. She was a devout Christian, who loved Jesus and member of First Baptist Church in Vidor. She retired from Orgain Bell & Tucker lawfirm as a legal secretary. She loved playing Tropical Merge on Facebook, watching TV especially Fox News, and spending time with her family. The family will have a celebration of life for Katherine on Saturday, January 14, 2023 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM at First Baptist Church in Vidor. She is survived by her daughters Terry Paine of Vidor, TX and Glenda Davis of Orange, TX, 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
