Jerry Wayne Mathues, age 75, a longtime resident of Vidor, passed away on Friday, December 1st, 2023, at his home. He was a devoted member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Vidor. Jerry retired from Mobil Oil after dedicating many years to his career. He found joy in watching the Dallas Cowboys, spending quality time with his family, and had a passion for fixing cars and trucks. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, and a memorial service will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Vidor on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at 10:00 AM. Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Loyce Mathues of Vidor, TX. He is also survived by his sons: Sean Mathues of Floresville, TX, and Joe Mathues of Vidor, TX. Jerry is remembered by his father, Bob Mathues of Vidor, TX. He leaves behind a legacy through his 5 grandchildren.
