James Edgar Downs Jr., 71, native of Southeast Texas, and presently of New Braunfels, unexpectedly passed on to his new life Sunday, March 3, 2024.
James was born to James Edgar Downs Sr. and Jo Ann Dorsey Downs on Sunday, November 16, 1952, in Jefferson County .
James is predeceased by his parents and stepparents, and his son, Joshua Ethan Downs. Those left behind to cherish memories of James are his wife of 27 years, Jana, his sons: Jason Downs of New York; Jeremy Downs and Jacob Downs of Vidor, Kynan Downs of Dallas; and Bronson Reece Downs of New Braunfels; his bonus children: Allisa Guidry of Vidor, and Nathan Guidry of New Braunfels; grandchildren: Jack Evan Downs and Audry Sky Downs of Canyon Lake, and Na’omi Paris of Vidor. His siblings: Brad Downs (Clara) of Vidor; Jeff Downs of Kerrville; Angela Chesnutt and Tyrone Downs, of Beaumont; and Regina (Wade) Lee of Houston.
