Jack E. Croom, 80 of Vidor died Saturday, November 14th, 2020 at his residence. A native of Batson, TX, he was a longtime resident of Vidor. Jack graduated high school in 1958 and joined the U.S. Army and serving from 1958 - 1961. He was a plant operator for Bayer in Orange where he retired in 1999. Jack enjoyed his red tractor, going to antique tractor shows, traveling and planting citrus and nut trees. Most of all he loved to have coffee with his wife and spending time with his great grandson Greyson “Tater”. Visitation will begin at 6:00pm Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at Memorial Funeral Home with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Jack was preceded in death by his parents Monte “MC” and Bernice Croom, sister Linda Gilbert and uncle Jack Croom. He is survived by his wife of 13 years Carolyn Croom of Vidor, TX, sons Michael Croom and his wife Bonnie of Vidor, TX, Ty Croom of Spring, TX, Joseph Bandeaux of Vidor, TX, Andy Marshall and his wife Tina of Vidor, TX, daughters Melissa Brady and her husband George of Silsbee, TX, Virginia Janise of Vidor, TX, Susan Bandeaux of Vidor, TX, grandchildren Kelsie Croom, Caleb Croom, Colby Croom, Mackenzie Croom, Megan Croom, Joshua Janise, Ashley Frazier, Tina Irby, Katie Middleton, Edward Middleton III, Allison McPhillips, Emily McPhillips, Anna McPhillips and 18 great grandchildren.
