Eddie Roye

Eddie Roye, 81 of Vidor died Sunday, February 21, 2021 at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas in Beaumont. A native of Houston, TX, he was longtime resident of Vidor. Eddie was a member and Deacon of First Baptist Church in Vidor and was a retired in 1998 as a Mechanic with Dupont in Beaumont. He enjoyed music - singing, guitar, ukulele and was a member of First Baptist Glory Band and Glory Singers. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting and woodworking. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am and funeral services will start a at 10:00 am Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Eddie is survived by his wife of 60 years Brenda Roye of Vidor, TX, sons Dwaine Roye and his wife Kasandra of Beaumont, TX, Scott Roye and his wife Beth of Spring, TX, daughter Dena McClendon and her husband Heath of Vidor, TX, brother Bobby Roye and his wife Diana of Laporte, TX, 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Frist Baptist Church Music Department.
