CONNIE SUE MEFFORD JANUARY 19, 1949 — FEBRUARY 17, 2025

Connie Sue Mefford, 76, of Vidor, passed away peacefully at her residence on Monday, February 17, 2025.

A native of Jennings, Louisiana, Connie made Vidor her lifelong home. She graduated from Vidor High School in 1969 and dedicated her life to being a loving homemaker. Known for her warmth and creativity, she found joy in quilting, creating beautiful pieces that will forever hold her memory. She had a special talent for baking, and her cakes and pies were treasured by all who had the pleasure of tasting them—especially her famous carrot cake. Connie also delighted in making homemade suckers, a sweet treat she loved to share with family and friends.

Above all, Connie’s greatest love was her family. She is survived by her children, Scott Mefford and his wife Kerry of Vidor, TX, and Kimberly Primeaux and her husband Jacob of Kaplan, LA; her brother, Larry Lognion of Vidor, TX; and her sister, Brenda Lindow of Vidor, TX. She was a cherished grandmother to Matt Ortego, Maci Mykayla, Aurora Elizabeth, Drake Alexander, Jackson Steve, and Kori Lynn, and a proud great-grandmother to Brooklynn and Bella. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who will forever hold her in their hearts.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Beecher Mefford, and her parents, Homer and Carrie Lognion.

Connie’s kindness, generosity, and love for her family will be deeply missed, but the sweet memories she created will live on in those who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be Friday, February 21, 6:00 9:00 pm (Central time) at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor with the funeral service set for Saturday, February 22 from 10:00 - 11:00 am with interment (to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park
