Anthony Boyd “Pops” Childs, 62, of Vidor, TX, passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at his residence. Boyd was born in Nacogdoches, Texas, but grew up and lived in Vidor the majority of his life. A dedicated employee, he spent much of his career with Trinity Industries and M & D Supply, where his work ethic and commitment were evident to all who knew him. A true Texan at heart, Boyd had a deep love for the Dallas Cowboys and rarely missed a game. His free time was often spent golfing, shooting pool and playing poker, where his competitive spirit shone brightly. Boyd is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Gina Childs of Vidor, TX. He was a devoted father to Bo Childs; Blake Childs, Matt Josephson; and Te’a Willms and all of Vidor, TX. His brother, Alan Berry Childs of Vidor, TX, also survives him. Boyd was a proud grandfather to seven grandchildren, with another on the way, and was adored by several nieces and nephews.
