Amanda Lee Stockwell, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully in Beaumont, Texas on May 31, 2025, at the age of 76. Her passion for life extended into her interests — she treasured her time working in the yard, finding peace and joy amidst the flowers and greenery. Music also played a significant role in her life, and she delighted in listening to the melodies of Vince Gill and Lionel Richie, often sharing those moments of happiness with her loved ones. Amanda’s greatest pride and joy stemmed from her children and grandchildren, whom she adored deeply. She leaves behind her son, Kelly Simmons of Beaumont, TX; her daughter, Valerie Kennedy of Vidor, TX; and her 6 grandchildren, her brothers; Ronnie Smith of Vidor, TX, and Jimmy Smith of Vidor, TX. She was also the proud great grandmother of five great-grandchildren.
