Early vote turnout light

With the March 6, Primary Elections day vote totals being compiled at the very same time that this news article is being printed on this sheet of newsprint, The Vidorian Newspapers are unable to bring you Tuesday’s election results in this issue of The Vidorian Shopper. We will have the local contested primary results available for you on www.thevidorian.com and complete March 6th Primaries results in the next editions of both of the Vidorian newspapers. But today, we can bring you information on how early voting went prior to the March 6th Election Day.

Both political parties’ midterm elections saw fewer voters turnout at the earlyvote polls this year versus four years ago. Some 5,305 Orange County Democrats and Republicans went to early vote this year compared with 5,629 Orange County voters of both parties who voted early in the 2014 Texas Primaries. That’s about a 5.8 percent decrease in early voter turnout.
