Retail sales showed an uptick in July, according to sales tax allocation numbers just released by Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar, who said he will send cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose districts $1.1 billion in local sales tax allocations for September, 3.4 percent more than in September 2022.
