Charles 'C.J.' Lee McCarver Jr., a beloved member of the Mauriceville community and a dedicated long-haul Truck Driver, passed away on Saturday, August 26th, 2023, in Orange, TX. He was 49 years old. C.J. was a longtime resident of Mauriceville, where he had made countless friends and touched the lives of many. C.J. had a passion for fishing and cherished spending quality time with his family. He had a special bond with his dog, Cig, which brought him immense joy throughout the years. He was known for his kind heart, strong work ethic, and his ability to connect with people from all walks of life. C.J. is survived by his children Amber George and her husband Chris of Buna, TX, Chelsea McCarver of Newton, TX, Kirk McCarver and his wife of Brookeland, TX, Charles Lee McCarver III of Orange, TX, brothersTim McCarver and his wife JoAnn of Orange, TX, Budd Salgado of LasVegas,NV, Joe Engelbrecht Bennett, CO, John Matteson of Inavale, NE, sisters Krystal Andregg and her husband Tim of Grand Junction, CO, Sabrina Cortez Grand Junction, CO, Ena Kollars of Trevin, NE, Melissa Saavedra of West Texas. C.J. took immense pride in his role as a grandfather. He leaves behind eight cherished grandchildren: Zachary, Bayleigh, Channing, Carleigh, Axeton, Braxton, Branson, and Charlie. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members, all of whom held a special place in his heart. C.J. was preceded in death by his father, Charles Lee McCarver Sr., his brother Nathan McCarver, his daughter Ashley Garrett, and his grandson Caleb Jr. Their memory lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. The loss of Charles 'C.J.' Lee McCarver Jr. leaves a void in the lives of many. His warm smile, his dedication to his work, and his unwavering love for his family will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace.
