$225,000 trihalomethane stripper arrives

The custom manufactured stacked-tray air stripper system that will be used to strip trihalomethanes from fresh water at one of the Orange County Water Control and Improvement District #1 fresh water well sites has arrived at the Water Well #7 site on Highway 12. The gleaming and glistening stainless steel machine looks somewhat imposing as it sits on its newly poured concrete pad next to the well site’s huge 500,000-gallon fresh water storage tank that towers above it.

 

The $225,000 fresh water treatment machine uses bubbles to strip trihalomethanes from fresh water and was specifically designed to match the make-up of the water coming from Water Well #7 when it comes on-line later this year.
