Martha Jane Austin, 84 died Saturday, June 10, 2023 at her residence. A native of Arlington, TX, she was a longtime resident of Vidor. Jane was a member of Maplecrest Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She enjoyed painting, was a great seamstress and loved spending time with her family. Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm Monday, June 12, 2023 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at Maplecrest Baptist Church with burial to follow at Oak Bluff Cemetery in Port Neches at 1:00 pm. Jane is survived by her husband of 64 years Wayland Austin of Vidor, TX, children Shelbie Austin of Vidor, TX, Stuart Austin of Vidor, TX, brothers Tommy Hammonds of Vidor, TX and Arthur Hammonds of Ivanhoe, TX, sisters Dora Lee McGlasson of Bastrop, TX, Betty Bosarge of Vidor, TX, Wanda June Foxworth of Magnolia, TX, 4 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
