Pirates overwhelm Lions in 58-14 rout

The Vidor Pirates rolled over the winless Livingston Lions Friday at Livingston 58-14. Vidor took the opening kickoff took seven plays to march 70 yards for their first score, a William Fawcett three yard keeper to make it 6-0 Pirates. The PAT was no good with 9:10 left in the first quarter.


The Pirate defense denied the Lions, who lost five yards on their first possession and went three and out. Returning Livingston’s punt to the 45, on Vidor’s first down play, Hogan Stogner broke free on a 55 yard ramble into the end zone with 7:44 showing on the clock.
