Mary Louise Moore entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on March 11, 2023.

Born on April 24, 1943, Mary (Hall) was a lifelong resident of Orange County. She attended Orangefield Schools and graduated from Vidor High School, where she met her life love Arthur Lane Moore. Mary and Arthur married in 1960, celebrating 62 years of marriage on June 3 of last year. Together, they enjoyed serving in many ministries at their church, Pecan Acres Baptist Church in Vidor and enjoying outdoor activities with family while hunting, fishing or celebrating family milestones, but their proudest accomplishment was raising their two children, Dana and Arthur Lane II and the grandchildren and great grandchildren who followed.

Mary was known for her deep and ever-growing faith in Christ, cooking for family and friends and taking care of others. Her retirement from the Texas Department of Human Services allowed her to spend more time at the lake and crocheting blankets for all of her grandchildren and then greatgrandchildren. She never missed a band concert, game or performance of her grandchildren, as “Nonnie” was always taking videos and photographs to remember those special memories. Those who knew Mary best remember that she valued personal contact with intentional phone calls and cards with specific scriptures to encourage others, and often a bonus stick of gum was included in the envelope!

She remains dearly loved by her husband, Arthur Lane Moore; daughter Dana Hogg and husband Gary; brother Randy Condrey and wife Suzette; grandsons Travis Hogg and wife Meagan, and Colin Moore; granddaughters Kaitlin Menard and husband Rocky, and Lauren Stringer and husband Casey; seven great-grandchildren: Hudson Hogg, Brazos Hogg, Paxton Hogg, Weston Menard, Landon Menard, Haidyn Menard and Scarlytte Stringer; special caretakers: her niece Dena Lane and husband Tim and nephew Carl H Morris and wife Liz; as well as many other nieces, nephews and caring friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Arthur Lane Moore II.

Family and friends will celebrate Mary's life with visitation on Wednesday, March 15 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and a service on Thursday, March 16, 2023, at 2:00 p.m.; both taking place at Pecan Acres Baptist, 2000 Duncan Woods Ln, Vidor, Texas with interment to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park, 2725 N. Main St, Vidor, Texas.
