Mary was born in Orange County Texas, 19 October 1924 and passed away the 12th of January 2023 in Vidor, Texas. She was the 10th child of her mother Sina Cole Thompson Briley. She loved handwork, gardening, genealogy, and indexing public records for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Her life was an example of service, faith and hard work. She is survived by her 7 children, Gary Torres, Glenda Wright, Jana Paterno, Patrice Gross and Kevin Torres all of Vidor, Texas and Anita Torres of New Zealand and Kyle Torres of Ft. Worth, Texas. She is also survived by 39 grandchildren, 114 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. A viewing will be held at Vidor Memorial Funeral Home from 6-9 pm on the 19th of January, and funeral services will be Friday the 20th at 10 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Interment will follow at Williamson Cemetery.
