He was born on March 9, 1941, to Harvey Radnor Eanes and Elizabeth Jane Tinsley Eanes in Haynesville, Louisiana. He was a graduate of Haynesville High School, Kilgore College, Centenary College, and received his master’s degree in history from Lamar University. He taught in Sour Lake, Kountze, and several other schools. North End Baptist Church was his church home for the last 35 years. His life was all about God, family and friends. He loved everyone. He also enjoyed reading, traveling, genealogy, watching LSU football, and enjoying TV Westerns. He was a longtime resident of Vidor. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Belle Paradice Eanes of Vidor, his brother, Rod Eanes of San Antonio, niece Dr. Erin Holsinger of Stanford, CA, nephew Brian Eanes, and aunt, Marcia Tinsley, both of San Antonio, and several cousins.
