Sheriff’s Association negotiations stall again

The collective bargaining negotiations between Orange County and the Orange County Sheriff’s Employees Association appear to have stalled again. Collective bargaining representative met on Monday afternoon following an offer by the county to break out the County’s Employee Policy Section 370 into two parts, 370 and 380.


The issue that the Association is holding firm on currently is the maintenance of the standards of Section 370 of the Orange County Employee Policy that concerns employee eligibility under the Texas County and District Retirement System and those policies and procedures as recently changed by the Orange County Commissioners’ Court concerning retiree health insurance
