A Gathering of Family and Friends to Celebrate the Life of Bobby Joe Saulsbury will be 10 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 7, 2022, at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home, Jasper, Texas, with Graveside services following at Evergreen Cemetery in Jasper.

Bobby Joe Saulsbury passed away at home in Livingston, Texas with the loving comfort

of family on Saturday, October 1, 2022. He was born in Beaumont, Texas on October 22, 1935. His parents were John Wesley Saulsbury and Thelma Burleson Saulsbury. He was raised by his grandparents, Sue and Ernest Burleson in Lakeview, Texas.

As a boy he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He attended school at Vidor High School and was in the class of 1955. He began construction work with Chicago Bridge and Iron in 1955 and retired in 2008 after many years as a welder, foreman and under-water welder. He and his family traveled while working to many different states throughout his career. Bobby lived with his family in Kirbyville, Texas from 1972 until moving to Rayburn Country in 1998. Bobby and Margie moved to Livingston, Texas in 2016.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents; son, Darrell Wayne Saulsbury and brother, Gene Saulsbury. He is survived by his wife, Margie Mae Saulsbury of Livingston, Texas; daughter, Donna Kay Morgan and her husband Bill Morgan of Livingston, Texas; and son, David William Saulsbury and his wife Julie Saulsbury of Kirbyville, Texas. He is also survived by his brother, Jerry Lee Saulsbury of Troy, Texas. Bobby has twelve grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home of Jasper.
