Ruth Elaine Duncan, 77, of Vidor died Sunday, August 7th, 2022 at Jefferson Nursing and Rehab in Beaumont, Texas. She was a longtime resident of Vidor, and a member of Pine Forest Baptist Church. She retired from Laredo National Bank in 1997 as a Vice President after a long career including a multitude of work including First City Bank of Beaumont and First Texas Bank of Vidor. Ruth’s success in banking came from a lifetime of hard work ethic and creating an environment anyone would be happy to be a part of. Many have described Ruth as a force in her field of work being a great example of what one would stive to become. Alongside her success in work, Ruth was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother ensuring all those whom she loved, knew that were the case. She radiated kindness, concern and love for her friends, family, and colleagues and always left you better than she found you. Ruth enjoyed spending time being the ultimate hostess planning holidays, parties, and any reason to cook and entertain for her family and friends, and she excelled at doing so. She ensured anyone felt right at home and welcomed no matter the function. She spent many years dancing, fishing, hunting, and scouting for arrowheads with her family; as well as traveling and sightseeing all over the country with her sisters. She truly was a multitalented wellrounded woman. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Vi d o r. There will be a visitation Friday, August 12th, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. The funeral service will be held Saturday, August 13th, 2022 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park. Ruth is survived by her husband of 59 years Joseph Duncan of Vidor, TX, her sons David Duncan and Mark Duncan both of Vidor, TX, her daughter in laws Amy Shirley and Kimberly Duncan both of Vidor, TX, her sisters Lou Ann Bayne and Robin Somogyi both of San Antonio, TX, her brothers Russell Reich, Rocky Reich, and Ronnie Reich all of Vidor, TX, as well as 6 grandchildren including David Duncan Jr. and spouse Ti f f a ny Du n c a n , Justin Duncan, Bethani Rizzotto and spouse Christopher Rizzotto, Alexandra Harper and spouse Sean Harper, Joseph Duncan, and Danielle Duncan all of Vidor, and 9 great grandchildren including Korbyn Whitworth, David Duncan III, H a rper Du n c a n , William Harper, Drake Duncan, Charlotte Duncan, Benjamin Harper, Jane Duncan and Maelyn Rizzotto. She is preceded in death by her parents Orville E. and Blanche M. Reich, her brothers Elvin Duane Reich and Richard Reich, and her sister Rose Dorchuck.
