Today’s flood could effect fall hunting

I drove down county road 4095 in Newton County and at the first curve in the road there were six cars and trucks parked all along the edge of the roadway. I had seen this many times in my lifetime. The several families that live on the higher sand ridges a mile and one half down the road had to evacuate their vehicles in case the projected crest of the Sabine River was higher than expected. The river was supposed to reach 35.28 feet that afternoon and some of the homes would have water touching the floor if it went to 36 feet.
