Monday is National Freedom of Information Day, the unofficial U.S. holiday devoted to spreading the word about your right to get information from the federal government. How ironic that this year, the headlines ring with news about access to Hillary Clinton’s emails when she was secretary of state. Before you dismiss the reports as nothing more than politics as usual, think more about the importance of openness in government.
