Houston man sentenced to federal prison for Beaumont bank robbery

A Houston man has been sentenced to federal prison for bank robbery in the Eastern District of Texas, announced U.S. Attorney Damien M. Diggs.
Michael Raymond Karras, 65, pleaded guilty to bank robbery and was sentenced to 188 months in federal prison by U.S. District Judge Marcia Crone on Jan.

State Sales Tax Revenue Totaled $4.1 Billion in December

( AUSTIN) — Te x a s Comptroller Glenn Hegar today said state sales tax revenue totaled $4.06 billion in December, 3.2 percent more than in December 2022. The majority of December sales tax revenue is based on sales made in November and remitted to the agency in December.
