Red Snapper Season Closes in Federal Waters on September 6

AUSTIN- The private recreational angler red snapper season in federal waters will close at 11:59 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 6.After the closing date, anglers may continue to harvest up to four red snapper per day with a 15-inch minimum length limit in Texas state waters out to nine nautical miles.

City anticipates $8.2 million revenue in proposed budget

Vidor City Manager Robbie Hood says he expected the City of Vidor to collect more than $8 million in revenue in 2024-2025 in his proposed budget message with $3 million coming from property taxes. Almost half, 48 percent, is anticipated to come from sales tax revenue.
