VPD ARRESTS AUGUST 11-SEPTEMBER 14, 2024

In recent weeks the Vidor Police Department responded to many calls. What follows are but a few of the incidents that required police action. Readers should remember that a person who was arrested has not been found guilty of any wrongdoing.

Fire cause determined to be accidental

OCESD#1 Fire Chief Robert L. Smith reported the cause of the house fire on Sept. 10 was accidental in nature. He also thanked Vidor PD officers Michael Stephenson and Ashton Moss for their actions to rescue two children trapped inside the home.“At around 1:53am, we were dispatched to a home on fire.

VPD Officers rescue children entrapped in burning residence

On Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at 01:49AM the Vidor Police Department Dispatch Center received a call of a residential fire in the 900 block of Pin Oak, Vidor, Texas with possible children trapped in the residence. Officers went immediately enroute to the structure fire.
