Twisted metal, charred wood and ashes is about all that is left of this home on Dogwood Street in south Vidor. Firefighters said cramped conditions hampered their ability to fight the fire.
On the morning of March 20, 2024, at approximately 9:50 PM, OCESD#1 was requested for service due to a fire in a structure. Fire crews arrived on scene in the 1400 Block of Dogwood, to find a single-story residential structure with heavy smoke and flames showing.
