City and ESD #1 work together seeking grant for new fire engine

    The City of Vidor and the Orange County Emergency Services District #1 are hoping that by working together, the ESD can replace a fire engine that went out of service during Hurricane Imelda. Since then, local firefighters have been forced to use Rescue 1 for structure fires and rescues, increasing wear and tear and maintenance on the unit.
