Vidor City Council and the public will get a first look at the 2020-2021 tentative budget for the City of Vidor during Thursday’s regular council meeting beginning at 7 p.m. at city hall.
The tentative budget is a first step in the city council’s involvement in the budget process which usually takes a number of weeks of fine tuning before a final budget is adopted in September following public hearings. The budget year for Vidor runs October 1-September 30.
In other business, council members will discuss the potential demolition of two structures on Kent Street and also discuss the Code Enforcement Program in the city.
City officials and council members will also discuss the continued lack of response by citizens to a drainage survey needed for the city to qualify for a possible $25 million drainage grant.
The meeting takes place at Vidor City Hall, 1395 North Main.
