5 YEARS AGO August 9, 2018: The narrow concrete bridge over the Baird's Bayou oxbow is in bad shape with ections of asphalt overlay missing from the Neches River floods of Hurricane Harvey. The bridge is scheduled to be rebuilt beginning next spring and will
be closed to all traffic for at least 22 months.
