END OF THE JOURNEY, was reached Monday at approximately 5:30 p.m. in Quiet Village near Vidor for this black bear, which bore tags of a Louisiana Wild Life Preserve in each ear. Estimated to weigh over 200 pounds and be at least 6 feet tall, the bear was hunted from noon until he was brought down.
