A hundred and seven members of the SOS club, Skydivers Over Sixty, from all over the world tried seven times recently to wrest the world record for jumping out of planes in a freefall snowflake formation. The event took place in Riverside County, CA.

History Matters

On April 9, 1959—a year after NASA was established--seven American test pilots became the inaugural members of the U.S. Space Force. They were Scott Carpenter, L. Gordon Cooper Jr., John H. Glenn Jr., Virgil “Gus” Grissom, Walter Schirra Jr., Alan Shepard Jr., and Donald Slayton.

The Texas Department of Transportation wants motorists to be aware of dangerous conditions in road construction zones after crashes in those zones killed 244 people last year. The death toll is an increase of 33% over 2020 and is the highest in 40 years.
